New for 2019, CCM has engineered their newest adaptation in the JetSpeed line for goalies around the world. The CCM JetSpeed FT460 Junior Goalie Skates are a continuation on CCM’s one piece design that caters to the modern style of goaltending.
Starting off with the outer quarter package, the CCM JetSpeed FT460 Goalie skates come with synthetic composite injection technology to provide a durable skate boot with structural stiffness.
Moving on, the CCM Jetspeed FT460 has added some key features to the ankle area of the boot. First is the lightweight, highly firm, 135 Stiffness Performance Index that has a solid core for strong power pushes. Next, the tongue of the CCM FT460 goalie skate is made with a 7mm felt tongue with reinforcement layers for increased comfort and protection.
On the holder and runner of the CCM JetSpeed FT460 goalie skates, CCM has implemented an all new holder and runner to make this skate lighter than the previous model. The brand new extra light SpeedBlade XSG Holder has a quick release system so you can switch out the steel quickly and also provide optimal attack angle for better power pushes. This brand new holder is 60 percent lighter than the previous CCM FT holder. The runner of the CCM JetSpeed FT460 goalie skate comes with SB XSG1 (+2MM) Steel that is a high-performance blade with a longer edge life with 9 percent more height to the goaltender.
Finally, on to the bottom of the foot and inside of the FT460 goalie skate, the outsole of the CCM JetSpeed FT460 is made of a concave reinforced injection composite that helps to create an energy transfer platform that helps the ease of skating for the goaltender. Next, the liner is made of HD Micro Fiber designed to be comfortable with high resistance to wear.
Compared to the CCM JetSpeed FT460, the CCM JetSpeed FT480 features higher quality materials and higher quality construction. Namely, the FT480 features a better boot collar, Stiffness Performance Index, Materials, Liners, Outsole, and Quarter package.
