The Alpha QX glove includes a lot more 3D-PU than in the QX Pro, for extra durability in the finger block, a little in the thumb for appearances, and in the cuff for more of a contrasting look in the backhand. Most of the rest of the glove material is Warrior’s DynaMesh. These are each among the premier and most durable materials Warrior uses. The glove includes a 3D embroidered, two-toned logo and a 3D-printed Warrior graphic on the thumb.
The QX glove includes Warrior’s Phantom Foam package of dual-density EPP foams—EPP is extremely lightweight and is conventionally used in helmet construction—and Warrior’s BoneSystem of high-density overlays for increased protection over the QX Pro glove. Warrior seems to have perfected the four-roll glove with the contoured fit and feel in the new QX, offering excellent protection for the back of the hand and a butter-soft response.
The three-piece index and middle finger design offers the player impressive dexterity and stick grip. The two-piece AxyFlex construction in the thumb offers additional dexterity and mobility. The palm is Warrior’s Pro Palm+ model with a digital base and Clarino overlay with grip print. An overlay in the thumb offers complete protection against early break-down. The 3D grip print provides a secure grip in all situations. The finger gussets are stretch mesh, an upgrade over the QX Pro’s non-stretch gussets.
A layer of high-density foam in the glove’s upper cuff roll combined with medium-density foam in the lower cuff offers the player exceptional protection. The QX also includes Warrior’s Hybrid AxyFlex cuff technology where the upper cuff attaches to the glove body with a stretch gusset, allowing for wrist mobility while providing elite wrist protection. It also allows the glove to stretch and move with the hand and wrist for optimal response and performance.
The liner comes in Warrior’s WarTech FNC with polygiene. The polygiene, a substance that helps reduce odor-causing bacteria, has been integrated directly into the foams, the liner, and the palm for a better smelling glove.
