The construction of the 290 comes from DryFoam Technology which is a closed cell foam that absorbs less sweat to allow the shoulder pads to remain lightweight and comfortable throughout the game. EVA Foam with Dryfoam Technology is: Extremely lightweight protection, Water resistant closed cell foam to reduce weight and moisture buildup, Ventilated for breath-ability in back panel. VentShield is the hard perforated plastic found protecting vital organs, while the molded EVA is what composes the rest of the front and back jackets.
