The CCM Tacks 6092 Goalie Ice Hockey Skates have many of the same features found on the highest price point model. They are designed with a stiff construction that has an asymmetrical boot cut to allow a deeper crouch and more explosive movements.
The Tacks 6092 goal skates were created with maximum performance in mind. The quarter package on the goal skates use a Power Form Composite that gives great power and agility by ensuring the boot can flex in the most important areas when pushing off. The skate also features a heat moldable option that can further personalize the boot fit to each goaltender's foot. The asymmetrical cut on the ankle of the boot is reinforced with soft memory foam, and is designed to reduce stress on the ankle when in a deep crouch. This design gives goalies a quicker recovery time when transitioning from butterfly to standing, and makes it easier to push from side to side when in the butterfly.
The felt tongue is reinforced with injected lace bite protection. Lace bite is one of the most nagging injuries that goalies can suffer, and can completely prevent you from playing. The Prolite GS cowling has a single injection mold reinforced with nylon inserts to increase durability. The new cowling addresses an issue that was on the RBZ goalie skates, where hard shots could cause chipping or breakage on the toe cap. The Prolite G stainless steel runner has good durability and holds edges well.
The liner on the Tacks goal skate uses a heavy duty microfiber material that gives solid moisture wicking properties. The Comfort Fit footbed provides a cushiony feel for your foot, while also giving good grip.
